It’s optional and disabled by default, but if you want NPCs who respond to you in their own words (and remember what you’ve done), this is where you learn to turn it on and put it to use.
The official docs SkyrimNet has extensive (if not quite exhaustive) official documentation and wiki . When these pages don’t cover something you’re after, that’s the place to look. Setup Enable SkyrimNet, connect it to an AI backend, and get everything talking.

Setup

SkyrimNet is a rarity among the mods in Mad God’s Overhaul in that it does require a bit of setup, but it walks you through the whole thing with a setup wizard. This page follows one path through that wizard from start to finish.
Two things to know going in:
SkyrimNet is optional and disabled by default. Enable it (and its plugins) in MO2’s OPTIONAL Mods → AI and Speech section. SkyrimNet needs an AI provider, and the good ones cost money. SkyrimNet itself is free, but many of the LLMs (large language models) that that it can talk to cost money. It’s pay-as-you-go, and you can easily set a limit. About $10 of credit is plenty to get started. What about the plugins? The same AI and Speech section in MO2 includes a few SkyrimNet plugins. You probably want to enable SeverActions and IntelEngine , but you can follow those links to learn more about them. OStimNet is NSFW (and is only present in the NSFW list), so do with that what you will. Opening the dashboard Everything happens in SkyrimNet’s dashboard, a web interface that you can access once the game is running with SkyrimNet enabled. Visit http://localhost:8080 in a web browser on the PC where Skyrim VR is running.

AI Gameplay

Need something?
Yes, yes.
I haven’t got all day!
Skyrim has at least 1200 lines of generic1 NPC dialogue, but once you’re hundreds of hours in, you could swear there are no more than a dozen.
With SkyrimNet and its plugins running, any NPC can hold an actual (unique!) conversation, form opinions, remember what you’ve done2, and decide how to act. And it’s all in their own (synthesized) voice.
This page provides a quick overview. SkyrimNet is pretty deep and it’s been evolving quite rapidly lately3, so see “You’ve learned all you can from me” to learn more.
